Pedestrian Killed in Traffic Crash at Interstate 5 Freeway and Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton

Stockton, California (December 6, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a person was killed in a traffic collision that happened at an intersection in Stockton on Thursday evening.

The fatal crash, which happened at around 6:29 p.m. December 5, occurred at the Interstate 5 Freeway and the Benjamin Holt Drive off-ramp.

 A pedestrian wearing a black and yellow plaid flannel shirt was hit by a vehicle while walking in the slow lane of the freeway for unknown reasons.

Officials said the victim died in the accident.

Meanwhile, the operator of the involved vehicle stopped and cooperated with the authorities’ investigation.

The CHP is still investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
