Woman Hit and Killed by Car on Lewis Street in Highland Park

Los Angeles, California (December 31, 2019) – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon on a street in Highland Park, Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD said the accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Lewis Street.

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle under unclear circumstances.

Authorities said the victim died in the accident.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
