Gridley Truck Crash on Highway 99 at Evans Reimer Road Sent One to Hospital

At Least 1 Sustained Major Injuries in Truck Accident on Highway 99 in Gridley

Butte County, California (January 6, 2020) – At least one person was hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision that happened in the area of Gridley on Sunday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The major-injury crash, which happened at about 7:00 a.m. January 5, occurred in the southbound lanes of Highway 299 at E Evans Reimer Road, Butte County.

The CHP said a Subaru collided with a semi-truck on the highway for reasons still under an active investigation.

One person was rushed to a hospital for treatment of major injuries suffered in the wreck.

Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the wounded person remain unknown to this time.

The crash resulted in the closure of southbound lanes of Highway 99 for several hours as the investigation and cleanup took place.

The CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
