3 Injured in Granada Hills 2 Car Crash on 118 Freeway near Balboa Boulevard

Granada Hills, California (March 6, 2020) –Three people were hurt following a two-vehicle collision that happened on Thursday night, March 5, in the Granada Hills neighborhood.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department report, two vehicles of unspecified built collided on the eastbound side of the 118 Freeway, just east of Balboa Boulevard at about 8:12 p.m. Due to the impact, at least one person was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles.

The pinned victim was extricated from the wreckage by firefighters along with the medical personnel who responded at the scene shortly after the wreck.

A total of three people sustained unspecified injuries following the wreck. Paramedics rendered aid to all three victims and then transported them to area trauma centers for medication.

Meanwhile, the current conditions and the identities of the patients have not yet been released.

Several lanes of the freeway were closed down temporarily as the investigation and cleanup took place.

The investigation is still ongoing.
