Fresno Car Accident on Highway 99 near Sierra Street Kills Female Party
1 Killed in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 near Sierra Street
Fresno, California (May 15, 2020) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, an 18-year-old woman died following a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles on Highway 99, just south of Sierra Street in Fresno Thursday night.
The accident began when a car operated by the female party along the roadway lost control and slammed into a median wall shortly after 10:30 p.m. May 14. The car then got stuck in the southbound lane of the freeway upon the impact. Two other automobiles reportedly hit the woman’s car, seriously injuring her.
The woman, an Ivanhoe resident, died at Community Regional Medical Center while undergoing treatment.
Officials said the other motorists and their passengers were treated for minor injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
