At Least 1 Killed in Highway 49 Collision in Auburn

Auburn, California (December 7, 2019) – Authorities said at least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Friday afternoon in Auburn.

According to Cal Fire, four vehicles collided at about 5:10 p.m. on Highway 49 at Joeger Road.

The manner of the accident was not mentioned.

At least one person died in the accident.

Traffic was halted in the area of the crash, but all roadways have since been cleared and reopened, according to Caltrans.

CHP is investigating the collision.
