Eric Rients Seriously Injured in Ford City Motorcycle Crash at Pierce and Elm Streets

Ford City, California – Following a Ford City motorcycle accident that happened in the area of Pierce and Elm streets on Monday afternoon, Eric Rients, 45 were hospitalized sustaining major injuries.

Eric was riding a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 eastbound on Elm Street when he attempted to make an illegal pass through the intersection. He collided with an eastbound 2007 Jeep Liberty that was trying to make a left turn onto Pierce Street.

On September 7, at around 3:30 pm the accident happened.

Due to the impact of the crash, Eric was ejected from his motorcycle. He sustained major injuries and was flown to Kern Medical.

The California Highway Patrol stated that there was no likely factor of alcohol and drugs in the accident.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
