Elderly Man Killed, Woman Injured in 2-Vehicle Accident at Main Street and Placentia Lane in Riverside
Riverside, California (April 30, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Riverside man Tuesday morning at the intersection of Main Street and Placentia Lane in Riverside and left another person injured, police said.
On April 28, at about 11:00 a.m., a 1998 Toyota Camry was heading northbound on Main Street, approaching Placentia Lane. At the same time, a 2016 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on Placentia Lane.
The Tacoma reportedly yielded at the stop sign and turned onto Main Street. The two vehicles ultimately collided at the intersection.
The driver of the Camry, a 78-year-old Riverside man, was taken to Riverside Community Hospital in a grave condition where he underwent surgery but later died.
A 21-year-old woman who was driving the Tacoma sustained minor injuries in the crash and was not taken to the hospital.
Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.
Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”
Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
