David DeJesus Killed in South San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
Authorities Identify Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 101 near Grand Avenue in South San Francisco as David DeJesus
South San Francisco, California (February 13, 2020) – David DeJesus, 45, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been identified as the pedestrian who struck and killed by a vehicle while walking across Highway 101 Sunday night in South San Francisco, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred on northbound Highway 101, just north of Grand Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, February 9.
Authorities said DeJesus was walking in the center median on northbound Highway 101, facing oncoming traffic when a vehicle hit him.
DeJesus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The northbound lanes of the highway were shut down as a result of the accident. All lanes were reopened at about 11:59 p.m.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
