Daniel Castellaw Suffers Major Injuries in Cajon Pass Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road

Cajon Pass, California (April 22, 2020) – Daniel Castellaw, 18, of Apple Valley, was among four people hospitalized Thursday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Cajon Pass, authorities said.

The crash happened on 15 Freeway, just south of Oak Hill Road at about 5:15 a.m. Thursday, April 16.

According to the police, a gray Toyota Prius was heading northbound on the 15 freeway at 70 miles per hour when it was struck from behind by a 2017 Red Ford Mustang, which was traveling at an unspecified speed.

The impact of the crash sent both vehicles down the embankment.

Daniel and his two teen passengers sustained major injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Christian Martinez, 25, of Moreno Valley, who was the driver of the Prius, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
