Christian Martinez Injured in Cajon Pass Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road

Cajon Pass, California (April 22, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash in Cajon Pass left four people with injuries Thursday morning, authorities said.

At about 5:15 a.m., April 16, officers responded to the 15 Freeway, just south of Oak Hill Road, for a report a traffic collision.

Authorities said a gray Toyota Prius was heading northbound on the 15 freeway at approximately 70 miles per hour when it was struck from behind by a 2017 Red Ford Mustang, which was going at an unspecified speed. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles down the embankment.

The Prius’s driver, Christian Martinez, 25, of Moreno Valley, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Mustang, Daniel Castellaw, 18, of Apple Valley, and his two teen passengers, were transported to the hospital with major injuries.
