54-Year-Old Cypress Man Killed after Tow Truck and Motorcycle Collide at Arlington and Hillside Avenues in Riverside
Riverside, California (March 16, 2020) – A Cypress motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a traffic accident at a Riverside intersection, according to a local news source.
Officers responded to the area of Arlington and Hillside Avenues, at around 9:50 p.m. March 14, for a report of a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a tow truck.
Authorities said a flatbed tow truck was turning left from eastbound Arlington Avenue onto northbound Hillside Avenue when it collided with the motorcyclist who was heading westbound on Arlington Avenue.
The motorcyclist was trapped underneath the tow truck and was freed by firefighters. The rider, only identified as a 54-year-old Cypress man, was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
