Christopher Carnel Killed in Port Hueneme Crash on Hueneme Road near Edison Drive

Oxnard, California – Following a motorcycle accident that took place on Sunday afternoon in the area of Hueneme Road east of Edison Drive in Port Hueneme, Christopher Carnel, 57, of Agoura Hills was killed, according to the authorities.

On October 4, at around 2:10 pm, the accident occurred.

Carnel was riding a 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Hueneme Road when he tried to overtake a Nissan Sedan eventually crashing into it as the vehicle made a left turn to pull over on the north side of the road.

Later, the motorcycle collided with a Chevy parked along the north edge of Hueneme Road.

Following the accident, the motorcycle caught fire while Carnel was trapped underneath.

Carnel was rushed to the hospital, sadly he was declared dead at around 8:23 pm due to his injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Ventura Area CHP.
