Child Hit, Injured by Vehicle on 6th Avenue in Merced
7-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Merced Pedestrian Crash near 6th Avenue and South Bear Creek Drive
Merced, California (February 4, 2020) – A seven-year-old boy sustained injuries after he was struck by a car on Monday evening in Merced, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred near 6th Avenue and East South Bear Creek Drive at about 7:18 p.m., on February 3.
The police said the child was hit by a vehicle near the intersection for reasons yet to be established.
The boy complained of pain to his head and stomach as a result of the accident. He was aided by responding paramedics before he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The involved motorist remained at the scene and was cooperative.
The accident remains under investigation.
