Authorities Identify Pedestrian Killed in Vista Hit-and-Run Accident on Vista Village Drive and Wave Drive
Vista, California (February 10, 2020) – Brian Wayne Conner, 43, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Vista earlier this month.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the 401 block of Vista Village Drive near Wave Drive at around 12:20 a.m. Sunday, February 2.
According to the authorities, Conner was traveling westbound in his wheelchair on Wave Drive when he attempted to cross Vista Village Drive and was struck by a vehicle that was heading northbound.
The driver involved failed to stop and continued traveling northbound on Vista Village Drive.
Conner died at the scene. He lived a transient lifestyle in Vista.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
