50-Year-Old Woman Dies Following Fatal Visalia Bicycle Accident On Mooney Boulevard Near Walnut Avenue

Visalia, California (December 27, 2019) – A bicyclist died after being hit by a vehicle Monday evening in Visalia, according to authorities.

The fatal crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 23 on Mooney, just north of Walnut Avenue.

Authorities said a 50-year-old woman was riding her bike westbound in a southbound lane when for an undetermined reason, a 2004 Ford F-150 struck her.

First responders arrived at the scene and they found the woman unresponsive. She was immediately taken to Kaeweah Delta Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Visalia Police Department is investigating the accident.
