Bicyclist Killed in Corona Traffic Accident on Rimpau Avenue ID’d as Benjamin Montalvo

Benjamin Montalvo ID’d as Victim Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Rimpau Avenue in Corona

Corona, California (June 15, 2020) – 21-year-old Benjamin Montalvo, of Corona, has been identified as the victim who died following a bicycle accident early Friday morning in Corona, Riverside County, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported.

As per the California Highway Patrol dispatch, Montalvo was struck by a dark-colored passenger vehicle while riding a bicycle southbound on Rimpau Avenue at approximately 12:04 a.m. June 12.

Sadly, Montalvo died at the crash site.

Officials said the involved motorist, 22-year-old Neomi Velado, did not stop at the scene after the collision. Velado, a Riverside resident, turned herself later to the police.

The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
