Adam Nickelson Killed in Huntington Beach Bicycle Accident on Beach Boulevard near Indianapolis Avenue
Huntington Beach, California (January 29, 2020) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in Huntington Beach.
Adam Nickelson, 30, of St. Paul, Minnesota, died in the accident that occurred at about 11:55 p.m. Sunday, January 19 on Beach Boulevard near Indianapolis Avenue.
Police said Nickelson was riding his bicycle on Beach Boulevard when a 2016 Honda Civic hit him.
First responders arrived at the scene and found Nickelson lying unresponsive on the roadway and suffering from extensive injuries.
Nickelson was transported to UCI Medical Center, where he died from his injuries on Thursday, January 23.
The driver of the vehicle involved, a 64-year-old Huntington Beach resident, stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
