Man Killed in Escondido Bicycle Accident at East Grand Avenue and Cedar Street
Escondido, California (March 6, 2020) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning at an intersection in Escondido, according to authorities.
The fatal accident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of East Grand Avenue and Cedar Street.
Police said the male bicyclist was at the Escondido intersection when he was hit by a vehicle.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The vehicle driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
East Grand between Date and Ash streets was blocked following the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
