Barbara Knass Killed in Rancho Cucamonga Car Accident on Wilson Avenue

Barbara Knass ID’d as Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash at Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road in Rancho Cucamonga

Rancho Cucamonga, California (January 14, 2020)The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s office have identified the woman who was killed Sunday evening in a traffic accident in Rancho Cucamonga as Barbara Knass, 86, of Rancho Cucamonga.

The deadly crash took place at around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, January 12 at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road.

Authorities said Knass was driving a white 2018 Nissan Sentra westbound on Wilson Avenue and was turning left onto San Sevaine Road when for an unknown reason, the Sentra was struck on the passenger’s side by a 2011 Nissan 300ZX that was traveling eastbound on Wilson Avenue.

The Sentra overturned upon the impact.

Knass was declared dead at the scene at 5:32 p.m. The man driving the 300ZX was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
