Minor Injuries Sustained in Bakersfield Head-On Accident on Merle Haggard Drive

Bakersfield, California (January 10, 2020) – A traffic collision that happened in the area of Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon sent at least one victim to the hospital.

The minor-injury collision took place shortly before 2:45 p.m. January 9, on Merle Haggard Drive near Meadows Field Airport.

According to a local news source, a Jeep Wrangler collided with a Kia Sol head-on along the highway for undisclosed reasons.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 2:45 p.m. and attended to the victims involved.

Authorities affirmed that at least one person sustained minor injuries in the crash. The patient was rushed to a local hospital for medication.

The highway was closed down on both directions up to about 3:41 p.m.
