Authorities Investigating Big Rig Crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (April 12, 2020) – At least two vehicles, one of them a semi-truck, collided Saturday night on Highway 99 in Bakersfield.
Authorities said the crash resulted in major injuries to at least one person.
The vehicles collided at about 8:13 p.m. near Lerdo Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to authorities, the semi was rear-ended by at least one car under unclear circumstances.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to help the victims.
The report said the car that rear-ended the semi had its airbags deployed.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
