CHP Investigating Rollover Crash on Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita

Santa Clarita, California (April 27, 2020) – Authorities said at least one person was seriously hurt in a rollover car crash that happened Sunday at about 6:00 p.m. on Interstate 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a red sedan and a gray SUV and took place just east of Rye Canyon Road.

Both vehicles reportedly overturned in the collision, and at least one of them caught on fire after the impact.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported at least one person to the hospital. The victim suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
