71-Year-Old Woman Killed in Vehicle Crash on Meandro Road and Rancho Bernardo Road in San Diego

Woman Killed in San Diego Vehicle Accident on Meandro Road and Rancho Bernardo Road

San Diego, California (January 7, 2020) – A 71-year-old woman was killed after vehicles collided on Saturday afternoon in San Diego, according to a police report.

The crash was reported at around 2:00 p.m. January 4, in the 12000 block of Meandro Road and Rancho Bernardo Road.

The San Diego Police Officer said a 17-year-old boy was driving a 2005 Jeep with a 17-year-old girl passenger. A 72-year-old man was driving a 2006 Toyota Avalon with a 71-year-old woman. The Toyota driver disregarded a red arrow and turned in front of a Jeep. The Jeep broadsided the Toyota on the passenger’s side.

The 71-year-old woman, the passenger in the Toyota, was injured and taken to the hospital where she succumbed to the injuries.

No other details of the crash were immediately reported.

The investigation into the crash is still underway.
