5 Hospitalized after Lake Elsinore Vehicle Accident on Grand Avenue and Morro Street

Lake Elsinore, California (December 13, 2019) – Five people were injured after a school bus collided with a van on Friday morning in Lake Elsinore, according to CHP.

The collision took place at about 7:30 a.m. December 13, on Grand Avenue and Morro Way.

Police said an 84-passenger school bus was on Grand Avenue when a Chevy passenger Van was stopped at a stop sign on Morro Way.

One adult and a child in the van were trapped in the wreckage and needed the assistance of firefighters to get out.

Four people in the van and the driver of the bus were injured and taken to Inland Valley hospital for treatment.

The bus driver was also hospitalized.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The crash is still under investigation.
