4 Killed and 2 Injured After 2 Vehicles Collided Head-On Near Millerton Road and Via Bellaggio in Friant

Friant Head-On Collision Near Millerton Road and Via Bellaggio Killed 4 Victims

Friant, California (March 13, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal head-on crash that took place in the area of Friant on Friday morning.

As per the report, four people were killed, and two others hurt after a Nissan pickup and a Toyota sedan crashed head-on in the area of Millerton Road Via Bellaggio near the Millerton Lake at around 1:30 a.m. The pickup truck, which was traveling northbound, reportedly drifted into the wrong lane and crashed into the Toyota.

Officials said the driver of the Toyota was airlifted to a nearby hospital, and the front passenger of the car was transported by ambulance.

The Nissan pickup motorist, and three of the passengers in the backseat of the Toyota, died in the accident.

Millerton Road was shut down between Auberry Road and North Fork Road as investigation and clean up took place.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
