4 Hurt in Victorville Head-on Crash on Air Expressway
Victorville, California (January 24, 2020) – Four people were injured in a head-on collision in Victorville at around 7:38 p.m. on Thursday.
The two-vehicle crash happened on January 23, on Air Expressway, just east of George Boulevard near the Federal Correctional Institution.
As per the report, a white 2010 Kia Rio collided with a gray Jeep Patriot on the highway for undisclosed reasons.
A total of four people were injured in the wreck. Officials confirmed a 42-year-old man was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with a major leg injury. The other three victims sustained less serious injuries and were hospitalized at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
The crash resulted in the closure of Air Expressway in both directions for an unknown time.
Meanwhile, drugs or alcohol were suspected as a contributing factor in the wreck.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
