3 Injured in Highway 4 Crash in Angels Camp

Three Injured in Angels Camp Car Accident on Highway 4 near Appaloosa Road and Stallion Way

Calaveras County, California (January 24, 2020) – Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in an alleged DUI crash in the Angels Camp area of Calaveras County, according to a local news source.

The two-car accident happened at around 4:10 p.m. Thursday, January 23 on Highway 4 near Appaloosa Road and Stallion Way.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Subaru collided with a pickup truck on Highway 4. As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles involved crashed into the side of a bridge.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and render aid to the three people who were injured in the crash.

One patient was reportedly driving under the influence of a drug. The victim was airlifted to a Modesto hospital with major injuries.

The identity of the suspect and the two patients have not been disclosed.

Highway 4 was shut down just west of Stallion Way as crews worked to clear the scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
