Driver Dies, Another Injured in San Jose DUI Crash at Almaden Expressway and Branham Lane
San Jose, California (May 4, 2020) – A three-vehicle crash in San Jose killed one person and left another injured early Sunday morning, authorities said.
A 2006 Nissan Murano was heading northbound on Almaden Expressway at around 12:13 a.m., May 3, when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon that was traveling westbound on Branham Lane.
The Hyundai then collided with a 2019 Tesla that was stopped at the intersection.
Medical personnel responded to the accident and pronounced the male driver of the Hyundai dead at the scene. The Tesla driver was not hurt in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan, a 32-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated of non-life- threatening injuries before being booked into Santa Clara County Jail for vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.
Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”
Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
