East Village Bicycle Crash at G and 17th Streets Seriously Injures 30-Year-Old Man
East Village, California (June 10, 2020) – Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a major injury bicycle accident at the intersection of G and 17th streets in East Village Tuesday night on June 9.
A 30-year-old male bicyclist sustained severe injuries after he crashed with a 2019 Honda Accord operated by a 40-year-old man eastbound on G Street at about 11:50 p.m.
The man was reportedly traveling southbound on 17th Street prior to the collision.
The Honda motorist stopped after the mishap and cooperated with the investigation.
The bicyclist was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
