2 Die, 1 Hospitalized after Ramona Car Accident on Mussey Grade Road near Mahogany Ranch Road

Ramona, California (June 10, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon head-on crash that killed two people and left one injured in Fernbrook, Ramona.

At about 12:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident on Mussey Grade Road, just south of Mahogany Ranch Road.

As per the officials report, a 2016 Ford Focus, driven by a 56-year-old Fallbrook woman, was traveling northbound on Mussey Grade Road when it swerved into the southbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 2017 Subaru Impreza.

The Ford driver and a passenger in the Subaru were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Subaru driver was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with major trauma.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
