2 Officers Hospitalized after Stockton Car Accident at El Dorado and Walnut Streets; Jamar Williams Arrested

Stockton, California (March 9, 2020) – Two officers from Stockton Police Department were injured Sunday morning in an alleged DUI crash at an intersection in Stockton, authorities said.

The accident occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. Sunday, March 8 at the intersection of El Dorado and Walnut streets.

According to the authorities, the suspect, Jamar Williams, 28, allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and slammed into a patrol that traveling northbound on El Dorado Street. As a result of the collision, the patrol car acquired moderate damage.

Both officers complained of pain and were transported to a hospital.

Williams was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The accident remains under investigation.
