2 Motorcyclists Injured in Traffic Accident in Hillcrest

2 Riders Injured in Hillcrest Motorcycle Accident at University Avenue and Seventh Avenue

San Diego, California (February 8, 2020) – Two motorcycle riders were injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The wreck took place at around 3:25 p.m. Friday, February 7 at the intersection of University Avenue and Seventh Avenue.

According to authorities, a 45-year-old man was riding a 1970 Norton next to a 55-year-old man who was riding a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on University Avenue.

The motorcyclists reportedly collided with a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta that was turning left from University Avenue onto Seventh Avenue. Due to the impact, both riders were ejected from their motorcycles.

One of the motorcyclists was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The second rider complained of pain after the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
