2 Injured in Rancho Cordova Car Accident on Hazel Avenue at Folsom Boulevard

Rancho Cordova, California (January 17, 2019) – Two people were injured Friday evening in a traffic accident in a Rancho Cordova intersection, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The crash happened at about 6:23 p.m. on Hazel Avenue at Folsom Boulevard.

As per the CHP report, two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the vehicles possibly failed to stop at a red light and caused the crash.

One person suffered moderate to major injuries and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center. The other person complained of minor pain and did not need transportation.

The intersection was blocked for an hour as crews worked to clear the crash site.

It is still unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
