2 Killed in Chula Vista Crash on Interstate 5 near J Street
Chula Vista, California (February 1, 2020) – Two people died early Saturday morning in a wrong-way car accident in Chula Vista, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place at around 5:00 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near the J Street and Bay Boulevard.
As per the CHP report, a vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with several other vehicles.
According to the CHP, two people were killed in the accident. Their names have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The accident remains under investigation.
