Boy Dies after Sacramento County Pedestrian Crash at Sunnyvale Avenue and Becerra Way
Sacramento County, California (March 13, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a Friday afternoon pedestrian accident that left a 14-year-old boy dead in Sacramento County.
At about 3:30 p.m., the police responded to a pedestrian accident on Sunnyvale Avenue and Becerra Way near Mira Loma High School.
Authorities determined that the boy was walking on Sunnyvale Avenue when he was hit by an Infinity coupe that was heading westbound on Sunnyvale Avenue.
As a result of the crash, the boy was pronounced dead.
The involved driver, a 17-year-old male, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
