Nolan Chong Seriously Injured after Squaw Valley Ski Accident at Squaw Valley
Olympic Valley, California (January 6, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a ski collision that left 10-year-old Nolan Chong of San Francisco severely hurt on Tuesday last week in the Olympic Valley.
The collision happened on Tuesday, December 31, at Squaw Valley.
Officials said Chong was skiing with his dad when he was hit by a 13-year-old skier of the Squaw Valley ski team racing down a black diamond run with a colleague.
Nolan suffered broken vertebrae in his back following the collision.
The 13-year-old skier reportedly lost control causing the collision. He had his pass suspected for a week after the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
