Santa Barbara Car Crash on Highway 154 near Ranch Alegre Sent 3 to Hospital

Santa Barbara, California (January 5, 2020) – Three people were taken to the hospital after being involved in a traffic collision on Sunday morning in Santa Barbara, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 12:06 a.m. on Highway 154 near Ranch Alegre.

The accident possibly involved two vehicles that collided on the highway for unknown reasons, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department personnel reported.

Due to the impact, one person was pinned in one of the vehicles involved and had to be extricated by the firefighters.

A total of three people were hurt in the wreck. All victims were hospitalized at Santa Barbra Cottage Hospital.

Authorities affirmed that one of the victims suffered critical injuries.

The investigation is underway.
