1 Seriously Injured in 2-Car Accident on Highway 246 in Lompoc

Person Severely Hurt in Lompoc Car Crash on Highway 246 at Mission Gate Road

Lompoc, California (May 17, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon two-car accident that left one person seriously injured in Lompoc.

At about 12:52 p.m., on May 16, the officials responded to the crash on Highway 246 at Mission Gate Road.

The California Highway Patrol said two sedans, for unknown reasons, collided on the roadway.

One car reportedly drifted off the roadway while the other vehicle was blocking the highway due to the collision. The hood of one of the vehicles was ripped off in the crash.

Responding emergency crews arrived at the scene and aided one person who was suffering from major injuries resulting from the crash.

The involved vehicles were towed away by tow trucks.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
