Yermo, California (April 11, 2020) – A 66-year-old man was killed in a truck accident on Friday morning in Yermo, according to police.

The crash happened at about 2:50 p.m., on April 10, on the southbound 15 Freeway near Calico Road.

The police said the 66-year-old man, driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 on No. 1 lane, crashed into a tractor-trailer that had stalled on the southbound lanes of 15 Freeway.

The truck was disabled due to a previous accident and was blocking all southbound lanes of the freeway.

Following the accident, the 66-year-old man was declared dead at the scene.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is urged to contact the CHP office at 760-255-5900.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
