Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle Highway 111 in Calexico

Calexico, California (December 10, 2019) – The Calexico Police Department is investigating the cause of a bicycle collision that resulted in the death of a male party on Tuesday in Calexico.

The fatal collision occurred on Highway 111.

A California Highway Patrol report indicated that a male party was hit by a van while riding his bike on the highway for unknown reasons.

The initial report showed that the bicyclist was wearing dark clothes at the time of the collision.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, officials believed the deceased was approximately 30 years old.

The operator of the involved vehicle stopped after hitting the man and cooperated with the investigation.

The investigation is underway.
