59-Year-Old Woman Killed in Garden Grove Car Accident at Chapman Avenue and Euclid Street
Garden Grove, California (April 16, 2020) – A 59-year-old woman was killed in an alleged DUI crash on Wednesday afternoon in Garden Grove, according to police.
The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m., on April 15, at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Euclid Street.
The police said a white 2017 Honda rear-ended a vehicle that had stopped for a red light at the intersection. The crash resulted in a chain reaction, and the car that was struck from behind crashed into another vehicle.
Following the accident, the 59-year-old woman, who was in the car that was rear-ended, was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Honda driver was also taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Persons in the third vehicle were uninjured.
The Honda driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested and released for medical attention due to the injuries sustained in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
