1 Dies, 2 Hospitalized after Desert Hot Springs Motorcycle Accident at Highway 62 and Pierson Boulevard
Desert Hot Springs, California (April 25, 2020) – One was killed while two others were injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Saturday afternoon in Desert Hot Springs, according to police.
The deadly crash transpired at about 12:19 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 62 and Pierson Boulevard.
As per the CHP reports, the SUV was traveling westbound on Pierson Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, it struck a motorcycle. The motorcycle ended up beneath the SUV due to the crash.
The rider was declared dead at the scene.
Two other persons were transported to a hospital for treatment. One of them was seriously injured.
Eastbound lanes of Highway 62 were closed for an unspecified period following the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
