1 Dies, 1 Hospitalized after Truck Accident on Highway 152 in Los Banos

Los Banos, California (January 15, 2020) – According to a local news source, one person was killed and another was hospitalized Tuesday evening after a traffic crash in Los Banos.

Just after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, the California Highway Patrol officers received a report regarding a car crash on Highway 152.

The CHP said a sedan was traveling in the westbound lanes of Highway 152 when the driver lost control and crossed the center median of the highway.  The sedan then traveled into the eastbound lanes and flipped over before a semi-truck hit it.

A third vehicle was struck by the wreckages from the previous accident.

The driver of the sedan was ejected and died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the truck was airlifted to a hospital in Modesto with major injuries. The driver of the third had wrist pain and was expected to be okay.

The accident remains under investigation.
