One Killed in Fresno County 3-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig

Fresno, California – On Wednesday afternoon a deadly Fresno County 3 vehicle crash left one person dead and another injured according to the authorities.

On August 19 at around 1:40 pm the fatal crash happened at the intersection of Highway 180 and Chateau Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol stated that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 180 and then slowed down to turn on to Chateau Fresno. Meanwhile, the driver of a westbound big rig on Highway 180 didn’t see the vehicle slowing down immediately turned left right into the path of the eastbound vehicle and this turned into a collision.

The police officers added that the passenger of the vehicle was killed in the crash however the driver sustained severe injuries. The driver was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional details were provided.
