1 Killed, 1 Hurt in San Diego Truck Accident on I-15 near Rancho Bernardo Road

San Diego, California (March 3, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a deadly Tuesday morning accident involving a big rig and a sport utility car in San Diego.

The accident occurred on northbound lanes of I-15, just south of Rancho Bernardo Road near the exit at about 12:30 a.m.

The incident began when an SUV went up the embankment and then went back down onto the slow lane where a semi-truck struck it, according to the police.

One person died as a result of the collision. Another victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.

All lanes were reopened at about 3:30 a.m.An investigation into the crash is underway.
