Man Injured in Madera County Crash at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2
Madera County, California (December 13, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was injured Thursday night in a traffic accident involving a Madera County sheriff’s deputy in Madera County.
The crash took place at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2.
According to the CHP, the deputy was driving on the roadway when for an unknown reason, he failed to notice two vehicles ahead of him and slammed into the back of a Dodge Caravan. The Dodge then struck a Nissan Sentra.
The driver of the Dodge, a 22-year-old man, complained of leg pain after the crash. The 23-year-old driver of the Nissan and the deputy were not injured.
All three vehicles sustained significant damage following the crash.
Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
