1 Hospitalized after Holtville Car Crash on East Heber Road near SR 7

Holtville, California (April 4, 2020) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a major injury collision that happened Friday afternoon in Holtville.

As per a California Highway Patrol log, the accident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on East Heber Road, just west of Highway 7.

The report said the crash involved two vehicles; a black GMC Terrain and a Toyota Camry. The vehicles collided for unknown reasons.

The first responders located one person who suffered major injuries in the accident. The patient was rushed to El Centro Regional Medical Center in an unknown condition.

Both vehicles were towed away from the crash scene. The GMC acquired major front damage and the Camry major front-right damage.

CHP is collecting more information to determine the cause of the crash and the responsible party.
