1 Killed in Palmdale Crash on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Palmdale Boulevard Off-Ramp

Palmdale, California (December 27, 2019) – One person was killed in a traffic accident in Palmdale early Friday morning, a local news source reported.

The fatal accident happened at around 2:55 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near the Palmdale Boulevard exit.

According to the report, a vehicle slammed into a big rig for unknown reasons on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

One person, whose name was withheld pending family notification, died in the crash.

The northbound Palmdale Boulevard on-ramp was closed at around 3:20 a.m., and a SigAlert was issued for the closure of all northbound lanes of the freeway for an unknown duration.

According to the CHP, the big rig was loaded with approximately 31,000 pounds of unknown cargo.

The crash remains under investigation.
