Santa Rosa, California (April 2, 2020) – A traffic accident involving a tree-trimming truck and a car killed one person Thursday morning in Santa Rosa.
The 7:30 a.m. collision took place at the intersection of state Highway 12 and Oakmont Drive, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP, a blue Honda Civic was turning left onto westbound Highway 12 from Oakmont Drive when it was struck by an eastbound tree-trimming truck hauling a wood chipper that ran a red light at the intersection.
The driver of the Honda, that vehicle’s sole occupant, died at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the tree truck, Tanner Robinson, 29, was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested. His bail was set at $100,000.
The crash remains under investigation.
Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that truck accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.
Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”
Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
